Families @ B’ShERT
Come As You Are
When we say “family” at B’ShERT, we mean it in the most expansive sense. We welcome families of every size, shape and Jewish background to become part of our community, including multigenerational families, interfaith families, families with members outside Brooklyn or NYC, LGBTQAI+ families, and many more.
If your Jewish journey is just beginning or if it is continuing to grow and evolve, we want to be a part of it.
B’ShERT’s Religious School is a welcoming and inclusive program that provides our children with an understanding and love for Judaism and its traditions. Children learn to appreciate the richness of Jewish heritage and to embrace the values of the Jewish faith.
We approach every child as an individual—from personalized Hebrew instruction to enabling them to help conduct Shabbat morning services. Our focus on each child successfully integrates children with special needs.

Calling all artists, want-to-be artists and artistically-challenged: Help us decorate our new sukkah! This is our first year with a 24-person sukkah, so we will need a LOT of decorators and decorations! Put your personal touch on our community’s home for Sukkot.
Make caramel apples and decorate your very own B’ShERT B’Shirt. Then enjoy our Simchat Torah service, where we unscroll the Torah as a community and celebrate. It’s both fun and awe-inspiring.
